Title: The Dangers of Accessorizing (or, Handy and the Murse)
Rating: PG for kissing o noez
Genre: Humour, possibly a hint of crack
Characters/Pairings: Ten2/Rose, Jake, OCs
Summary/Exceprt: When Rose told the story, she would insist it started with the Doctor buying a purse.

Author's Notes: Directly inspired by a conversation with the lovely [livejournal.com profile] hysteriagalore.

Title: ...Have More Fun
Rating: PG
Characters/Pairings: Ten2/Rose, alt!Donna, Jake, with a little bit of namedropping
Genre: Shameless fluff/humour
Spoilers?: Through 4x13
Summary: Everyone has a type.
Excerpt: “Nothing.” Rose shrugged, but from what he could see the smirk stayed in place. “Just that you’ve got a thing for blondes, that’s all.”

Author's notes: We all know it's true. And I think technically it's [livejournal.com profile] goldy_dollar's birthday now since it's past midnight, so hurrah! A relatively insignificant addition to the Gingerbread 'verse.

Title: A Matter of Time (2/2)
Rating: PG
Characters/Pairings: Ten2/Rose, an assortment of Tylers, alt!Donna, moar flashback!Ten and Donna
Genre: Humour and angst, with a bit of emphasis on the angst
Spoilers?: Through 4x13
Summary: Tony's eighth birthday party forces the Doctor to consider something he hadn't before: the possibility of children with Rose.
In this chapter: The Doctor does Sudoku, Rose gets angry, and two Donnas have drinks with two Doctors.
Excerpt: “A – a bad thing?” He shook his head and his interest in the top of his drink seemed renewed. “No, of course not, I.. love babies, babies are good, they’re very... very...” He looked helplessly over at the baby at the adjacent table. “...young.”

Author's Note: This part is almost twice as long as the previous chapter, but it doesn't break up well and I feel dumb constantly going back on my projected chapter count, so here you are. As before it's pat of the Gingerbread 'verse. And as with Gingerbread, you can play spot-the-crossover if you like.

Previously: Part One!

Title: A Matter of Time (1/2)
Rating: PG
Characters/Pairings: Ten2/Rose, an assortment of Tylers, eventual alt!Donna and Jake, Ten and proper!Donna ver. flashback
Genre: Humour and angst, with a bit of emphasis on the angst
Spoilers?: Through 4x13
Summary: Tony's eighth birthday party forces the Doctor to consider something he hadn't before.
Excerpt: Until earlier that day, he’d never considered the possibility any more than one considers the chance of rain a thousand miles away. Now it seemed obvious, and on top of it all he felt stupid as well as panicked.

Author's Note: This one I get to blame on [livejournal.com profile] goldy_dollar, who insisted I write it after reading a one-sentence summary in that "five things of personal canon" meme. Also, she bribed me with coffee, so obviously it's her fault. This slots into the Gingerbread 'verse, but aside from some allusions there's nothing too crucial to know.

Title: Wait 'Til You Read Book Seven
Rating: G
Characters/Pairings: Ten2/Rose, Tony, Jackie
Genre: Humour
Summary: In which [livejournal.com profile] _thirty2flavors offends everybody ever. The Doctor discovers a horrifying difference between that first universe and Pete's World.

Author's Note: Ages back when this scandal broke, I had a discussion with [livejournal.com profile] bazcat89 that ultimately led to this. I would say none of the opinions reflected in this piece are my own, but that's not strictly true. I guess you'll just have to guess which ones. That said, I don't actually intend to offend anybody, this is just for lulz.

Title: Romantic (With A Lowercase R)
Rating: PG
Characters/Pairings: Ten2/Rose, alt!Donna, Jake
Genre: Humour, romance, fluff
Spoilers?: Yeah yeah, 4x13
Summary: In which Jake and Donna enjoy the romantic ineptitude of the Doctor and Rose.
Excerpt:Besides, Rose was quite certain if there’d ever been a human celebration crafted to make the Doctor uncomfortable, it was probably Valentine’s Day.

Author's Note: Set in the Gingerbread universe shortly after Revolution, but all you really need to know is that alt!Donna exists as a Vitex accountant. And is awesome.

Also, Valentine's Day is over, but too bad.

Title: Revolution (3/3)
Rating: PG
Genre: Some fluff, some angst, some humour. Standard fare, really.
Characters/Pairings
: Ten2/Rose, alt!Donna, with guest appearances from the rest of the Tylers and Jake
Spoilers?: Through season 4
Summary: It's been a year to the day since Rose and her part-human Doctor wound up in Norway.
In this chapter: The Doctor feels guilty, Donna feels furious, and Rose attempts to keep the peace.
Excerpt: "“Like your mum did it with a Martian or something?”"

Author's note: This turned out a bit angstier than I previously anticipated, as well as longer. Also, more than a month between updates FAIL, I apologize, my excuse is that I had to write something for a fic exchange. And also I just suck.

As before, this is set in the same universe as Gingerbread, which introduces this version alt!Donna.

Previous Chapters: Part one is here, part two is here.

Title: Good Taste
Rating: PG
Characers/Pairings: Eleven, Rose, and a dash of Ten2
Spoilers?: Um yeah for.. everything.
Summary: By her third lap past the bench, Rose is certain the man is staring at her.
Excerpt: “I think you’ll find people are notoriously bad at believing in things, even if that thing is right in front of them.”

Author's Note: Yeah I know, Eleven fic. Probably once series 5 starts this will look hilarious and awful, but until that time... free-for-all! Also, not like anyone's keeping score at home, but if they are, I promise I haven't totally abandoned Revolution; the third part's nearly done, but I wanted to write this first. A break, if you will.

Title: Revolution (2/3)
In this chapter: Jackie gets new carpet, the Doctor and Donna consider their options, and Rose is forced to admit that she is perhaps not the best at spinning stories.
Excerpt: "Right now, she thinks you’re an alien-obsessed, half-mad scientist with way too much pride in his doctorate who’s just a teensy bit socially inept. Honestly, the truth is probably less strange than whatever explanation she’s got in her head at the moment."

Author's Note: Initially I intended this to just be two parts, but then part two took a lot longer than I expected, and it didn't really seem to make any sense to have part 2 be twice the length of part 1. So three parts it is.

As before, this is set in the same universe as Gingerbread, which introduces this version alt!Donna.

Spoilers?: Through season 4
Summary/Excerpt: It had been – or would be, in a few short hours -- an entire revolution of a parallel Earth around a parallel Sol, and the Doctor wasn’t sure what he was supposed to feel.

Author's Notes: A sequel (of sorts) to Gingerbread, which introduces the Donna Noble you'll find here... the Donna Noble who will feature much more in the second part, I promise.

Title: ourselves we find in the sea
Rating: PG
Characters/Pairings: The Doctor/Rose, River, Donna, Martha, Mickey
Genre:: Angst, tiny bit of fluff
Spoilers?: Through season 4
Summary: The Doctor is not fond of beaches.
Excerpt: "Have you been to a beach? All the families and the stray beach balls and the creatures in the water waiting to nibble on your squishy human toes and the sand, do you realize how hard it is to get sand out of things?"

Author's Note: So apparently I've been super-productive in terms of fanfiction (and not so much in terms of studying, but that's another matter), apologies to my flist who keep getting spammed with this crap. The title and the bolded bits between sections are from the fantastic e e cummings' maggie and milly and molly and may. Also, who knew I'd ever write a fic with River Song in it? Probably not [livejournal.com profile] bazcat89.

Title: Gingerbread
Rating: PG13
Characters/Pairings: Rose/Ten2, alt!Donna (and some ruminations on proper!Donna)
Genre: A bit of fluff, a bit of humour, a bit of angst, a tinier bit of action ...so, gen, then, lirl.
Summary: One obligation of being the Vitex heiress is attending the annual Vitex Christmas party; one obligation of being the Vitex heiress' very own Time Lord/human metacrisis is accompanying her to such events. There, the Doctor meets the newest addition to Vitex staff.

Excerpt: She takes a sip of her champagne and watches him over the rim of her glass, and there’s no friendly recognition, no sign that she knows him better than he’d like at times, nothing beyond the curiosity of a stranger.

Author's Notes: This ended up exponentially longer than I ever intended it to be, but it just kind of... kept going. Bonus points if you can identify the song the Doctor sings or the customer service rep Donna mentions (except you, Liz, you cheater). And kudos to [livejournal.com profile] the_tenzo, whose altDonna reaches levels of awesome my altDonna can only hope to achieve.

Title: Chase Your Demons Away
Rating: PG, I guess? I used the word "kiss" which I guess is pretty scandalous.
Genre: Some angst, a bit of fluff. Which I guess is pretty standard "romance" if you want to call it that.
Length: ~3,000
Characters/Pairings: Ten2/Rose, Tony
Summary: Three weeks after Norway, the Doctor bonds with Tony Tyler over a shared affliction -- bad dreams.
Excerpt: Tony accepts the man in the hallway as the same flesh-and-blood action hero from all Rose’s stories, full stop. Tony doesn’t find the human warmth of the Doctor’s skin strange or send him pointed looks if he says something more Donna than Doctor. Tony probably doesn’t dream about beaches and pinstripes, either.

Title: Just One Trip
Rating: PG
Genre: Humour
Spoilers?: Through season 4.
Characters/Pairings: Ten2/Rose, Jackie, Tony
Summary: Rose wants to take her brother to see Barcelona, Jackie is maternally outraged, and the Doctor really just wants a snack.
Excerpt: “No one’s going to eat him, Mum,” said Rose, around the same time the Doctor said, “what is it with you lot and Martians?”

Title: Nothing Gold
Rating: G
Characters/Pairings: Ten/Rose and Mickey, with mentions of Sarah Jane and Reinette
Spoilers?: Not for anything beyond "The Girl in the Fireplace"
Prompt: "Autumn" at the [livejournal.com profile] time_and_chips "Seasons Change" ficathon.
Summary: She can spend the rest of her life with him, but he can't spend the rest of his with her. (Set during Season 2, shortly after "The Girl in the Fireplace".)
Excerpt: Poetically speaking it was a sick but accurate allegory, and the letter that lay tucked into his breast pocket seemed impossibly heavy. Minutes for him, decades for her. Dead and gone in the blink of an eye.
Author's Notes: The poem alluded to in the title and in the fic is Robert Frost's Nothing Gold Can Stay.

They chose the planet of Maenestrehla for three reasons. )

Title: Such Sweet Sorrow
Rating: PG
Genre: A little bit of column A, a little bit of column B. (Angst and gen and romance and hopefully a dash of comedy.)
Spoilers: Set during Journey's End, so that'd be a yes.
Characters/Pairings: Ten/Rose/Ten2, Donna, with hints of Jack, Martha, Jackie, Sarah Jane and Mickey
Summary: The universes are safe and the TARDIS is full of people he loves drinking wine and swapping stories, so naturally the Doctor is... watching from the sidelines. Set during Journey's End.
Exceprt: Rose stands up straight and moves perpendicular to him, threading her arm through his. He thinks probably she’d take his hand, if he took it out of his pocket.

He doesn’t.

Author's Notes: This is definitely a companon piece to Say Goodnight and Goodbye, which is set just before this piece, but it's certainly not neccessary that you read one to understand the other. I don't get why I find blue!Doctor to be much easier to write than regular!Doctor, but apparently that's the case; Donna, however, came easier this time around. Hurrah!

Title: Of Costumes, Superheroes and Personal Space
Rating: PG
Characters/Pairings: Ten2/Rose
Genre: Humour, fluff, a few hints of shippiness and decidedly angst-free.
Spoilers?: Through 4x13
Summary: The Doctor has found a kindred spirit (and a Halloween costume); Rose is inclined to disagree.
Excerpt: He wiggled his eyebrows in his aren’t I a genius? way that was typically reserved for things like growing a new TARDIS, building a new sonic screwdriver or figuring out the most efficient way to peel bananas.

Title: Where the Heart Is
Rating: PG
Spoilers?: Indeed, through season 4.

Title: we could be something
Rating: PG, whoo
Characters/Pairings/Fandoms: Jim/Pam (The Office), Remus/Sirius (Harry Potter), Nine/Rose (Doctor Who)
Author's Notes: So this was my good-bye gift for the lovely [livejournal.com profile] inksplotched who is now off to Brazil for a year. BON VOYAGE SARA. They're her ships in our shared fandoms and the title comes from a Kate Nash song because she likes Kate Nash. This was also posted in [livejournal.com profile] missinginks but I'm posting it here because... I.. am a narcissist, idk.

Title: Suggestive Selling
Rating: PG
Characters & pairings: Ten2/Rose
Spoilers?: Yep, 4x13.
Summary: The Doctor makes a suggestion, Rose wears the metaphorical pants, and the Torchwood cafeteria sells questionable bananas.
Author's notes: Okay, so this is essentially fluff. I kind of wanted to reassure myself I was still capable of writing dialogue and keeping things light-hearted.

Do you want a wedding? )
