I present to you three of the (many) requested fics from that meme everyone's doing. Unfortunately I'm not doing them in, um, order they were requested or anything, just kind of... order of when I am ~inspired~.


jacob/tanya, twilight, for latine

She tastes like ice, smells like death and he cannot get enough of her.

He burns her tongue and her nose and she can’t get enough of him, either, because Alaska is just so cold. She’s been cold for hundreds of years, now, but he melts the ice in her veins and she cools the fire in his and it’s precisely the perfect temperature.

Jacob doesn’t say it and Tanya pretends not to feel it, but they both know this chemistry – the electric collision of contradictions – is exactly what Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cullen have forsaken on their wedding night.

Jacob sheds no tears on their behalf; Tanya wouldn’t even if she could.



draco/ginny, harry potter, for johnmayergirl23

It’s such a cliché. Love, hate and the thin line between, two houses alike in dignity - same old story. Ginny almost regrets being involved in something so…. so trite, wants to gag at the idea there are harlequins out there that are just like this, at the thought that the names Romeo and Juliet might even be slightly relevant…

But it’s just as cliché for the hero to get the girl, and tragedies make history more often than comedies.


sirius/lily, harry potter, for kirrea

He never quite manages to ignore the guilty gnaw in his stomach, but then it never quite manages to stop him, either. It’s wrong, wrong, wrong but he’s always had a twisted sense of morality and Lily, for all her halos and badges, doesn’t seem up to the challenge of realigning his moral compass. Sometimes he wonders which of the two of them is worse – is it the woman who claims to be in love or is it the boy who claims to be a brother? – but it’s dragon and egg, really, because he never should have started it but she never should have let it continue.

It’s that undertone of guilt, probably, that prevents the Dementors from taking those memories with them. Funny, that; imprisoned for his best friend’s death and all he can seem to remember is how that friend’s wife tasted.

I liked the Twilight one, though I feel like it' kind of a rehash of all the Twilight fic I've ever read. I dunno. It was hilarious to write though. LIRL

LOL, I have not been ruined by Twilight fic, because I have never really been inclined to read it. I love the slight snark in Bedward's direction :D

I AWAIT JUNE 11 WITH ALL GREAT ANTICIPATION. Even if she might shatter all our MWPP illusions even more, like she did with DH. WTF. James didn't even have his wand when he died, wtf. It occurs to me she may well have been copping out of action scenes in the book, because she had Harry miss a lot of the Battle of Hogwarts as well.

ME TOO, even though yeah, it could be disastrous. I hope they're totally awesome and everyone who's all OMG THEY WERE ASSHOLES will be amazed by how awesome they were. Yep. And maybe, but DH was already getting long plus we know JKR can write good action scenes, it's one of the things she's best at, I think.

These are all really great. Especially the Sirius/Lily one. Most of the time I find them unrealistic, but you did a good job pulling them off.

And I'm hoping that the prequel she writes is about the Marauders. I'll be very disappointed if it isn't.

Haha thanks. It's an interesting experience because a good number of the pairings I was given are ones I don't particularly ship, so it's interesting to try and work around both canon and my own "canon" to make them fit.

And it is! Apparently, anyway, it's about Sirius and James ~3 years before Harry's born. =)

Oh, I love the Sirius/Lily one. There's something so wonderful about the idea of them, because you know that whatever pleasure Sirius might take from a relationship with her, there's a wad lot of unending guilt to go with it, and you really captured that. I loved the last line.

Sirius/Lily is a weird ship because while on one hand it hurts my inner Lily/James fangirl's soul, it is fascinating for all the reasons you just mentioned. It was fun to write, I must say.

Ooh. Me likey! The Twilight one was good--it's' probably best to wean yourself in with the odd pairings before hitting the big one (Jacob/Bella), the bigger one (Edward/Bella), and the motherload (Bella/Truck).

Loved mine. Very appropriately Ginny. And the Sirius/Lily one was great, as usual. I'm so intriguied by that possibility...always have been.

Hahaha I doubt I'll ever get into Twilight enough to write Jacob/Bella, let alone Edward/Bella, and I wouldn't want to destroy the holiest of ships (Bella/Death) with my feeble writing. But thanks! It was pretty easy to write, oddly.

Intrigued is a good word for Sirius/Lily. It makes my soul weep but I like it sometimes anyway? I don't know. It has to be done right.
