LOL well she does runaway with someone who is not her husband and is generally FAIL.
UGH fix-its are (with some exceptions) usually not very well written or 'plausible* IDK, I prefer canon and characters written in what I consider 'IC', lol.
I think what's so appealing with Ten2 is that we have the canon of Ten and we know pretty well what he's like as a character and Ten2's personality is based on that, since they're essentially the same. Beyond that we can speculate quite freely about how Ten2 would be like in Pete's World, how that little bit of Donna and being part-Human makes him different from Ten but still similar. You can write him pretty far out there but it might still be canon or at least in character.
