It's true. It's why I liked Lily/James, too -- they had a happy(ish) period of time for me to work within, but they were also not done to death in canon. With Jim/Pam I see everything I need to see, I don't need to read about the intricacies of their daily life. With Handy/Rose I like it because while i assume things are, more or less, fine and dandy, I won't have to see it in canon so I won't get bored.
I just foun like, the worst fic ever written on Teaspoon. I am delighted.
