oh it's totally something that could happen, he keeps on licking everything else. Then there's the fact that he's an alien, so it's safe to say he wouldn't have the same view on things humans consider to be icky.
Yeah the way she was written doesn't really help endearing her to a large part of the fandom but I still think it's a shame when all she do in fics is being utterly ridiculous and something to bash every other second.
I definitely thinks most of his emoness comes from him just thinking he ruins people/people's lives. He says so about Martha in PiC, so why wouldn't that statement just be reinforced by what happened in the finale. Also YES one can't go through that many disastrous relationships without being a bit fucked up.
