In a fit of madness and possibly awesomeness, inksplotched, likeserendipity and I present:

atasteof! A Taste of Everything, a Multi-Fandom Recs Community.

A Taste of Everything will feature recs from a variety of fandoms with a variety of pairings and genres -- emphasis on (you guessed it) variety. Right now we're a team of three -- inksplotched will be reccing for Harry Potter, likeserendipity's in charge of Twilight and I'm your rep for Doctor Who. About 2-3 recs will be posted per week per fandom.

We're also looking to expand our fandomy horizons, so if you'd like to represent a fandom, or even suggest a fic in any fandom, let us know! We're particularly interested in finding people for the following fandoms:

Are you doing NewWho and ClassicWho as well? Sometimes I think that good ClassicWho plot/characterization falls by the wayside and it would be nice to see some ClassicWho pimpage. ClassicWho is the jamz!

I'm not opposed to ClassicWho, really, and if I read something and paritcularly like it I'll rec it, but I must admit that since I've never seen the old series, I don't have a good judge of characterisation/etc, and I read considerably less classic Who fiction. If someone wanted to give me some suggestions, or even just take that on as a genre, that'd be cool.

Okay. Well I might apply to be a ClassicWho reccer than. I'm currently a little obsessed with Classic and I have a file folder of ClassicWho favorites. The only place that recs ClassicWho stuff is Calufrax and sometimes... well sometimes I don't like Calufrax. (I don't want to infringe upon your Who terriotory though).

I'm still thinking about starting an ontd_who comm too... I just have to find the time to be funny. Ha.

Yeah I've checked Calufrax a few times but never very frequently, plus I want to rec stuff on lj too, not just Teaspoon (and not just LJ). If you don't wanna do it regularly you can either just send me good'uns you find or be a sort of guest-reccer or whatever!

I have to admit that inksplotched does make a fair point about ontd comms. Idk.

But look! you just got recced on Calufrax, which is kind of funny since we were just talking about it. And maybe I'll just suggest good classic stuff to you when I come across it, because it's often few and far between and I haven't been reading as much fic lately as I usually do.

And yeah it is a fair point, maybe starting an ontd site isn't such a fantastic idea. I probably don't need another reason to spend any more time on lj. And that is the truth.

Ooh, this looks awesome. Kind of makes me wish I could focus on more than one fandom at a time since I don't think I'm currently able to fully appreciate all it has to offer. I mean, Harry Potter and I had a falling out around book 6 and we haven't ever fully recovered.
