Yes! That's exactly what I loved about Donna, that she was such a good friend in the way that people who are in love with you don't tend to be. I love Rose and Martha, but Donna definitely trumps them when it comes to "most useful type of relationship to have while trying to save the universe".
Plus yeah, she totally ships Doctor/Rose and I love it, lol.
