Arg. I'm so glad you're OK. Cars are death traps. I realised this while I was walking on the street the other day, on the pavement, that is. I was walking around a corner and just for second, I noticed that a car was going straight for me, and the only thing that made it turn was the curb. Then I tried imagining the whole setting without road signs and curbs... and I realised how close pedestrians are to cars and how often cars are making straight for each other and how the only thing that stop us all dying are curbs and the highway code.
Myabe this whole traffic situation will be something we look back on in history and just feel appalled about. Like slavery or child labour or opium.
