I should, should know the ma cherie thing. I think it actually crossed my mind when I was doing the rewrite, and I admit to being a bit surprised that I failed to change it. Oops.
The birthday thing makes sense -- because I'm obviously familiar with bon anniversaire -- but for whatever reason I seemed to think it was bonne fete. Hm. I suppose I should change that to save myself from further embarassment amongst the french community.
I fail at French, I really do. It's a good thing I'm dropping next year! Ha. Thanks for it, though. I wonder how many people read it and thought I was a moron.
