The strange thing is I'm not, either, and I think part of that is because they're usually with Nine or Ten, and something about that -- I guess the fact that Rose spends so much time with him looking like that later on -- felt off to me. For some reason Eleven makes it mesh better for me, too, though I couldn't tell you why.
