I rewatched End of the World recently and found it interesting how quickly Rose ditches the topic of "there was a war and my entire species died and also my planet blew up", and then I realized... well, wtf do you say to that? lol. And as someone who makes use of the "diistraction and entertainment" method of support more often than not, I figured that might be the method Rose favours.
